Section 01

The project

When will the Mapleton Ice Arena open?

We're in the middle of the capital campaign. Target groundbreaking is 2027 with doors opening in 2028, assuming fundraising milestones are met on schedule.

Where will the arena be built?

The planned site is on the Mapleton City Community Campus. Final siting, renderings, and architectural plans will be published on the Vision page as they're confirmed.

Who runs the project?

The Work Ethic Foundation (WEF) — a volunteer-led nonprofit board of parents, coaches, local business leaders, and civic stakeholders. WEF is the charitable organization building and operating the Mapleton Ice Arena.

Section 02

Donations & giving

Is my donation tax-deductible?

We are pursuing 501(c)(3) status. Once confirmed, all gifts will be fully tax-deductible and we'll issue receipts. We'll post the determination letter publicly as soon as it's finalized.

Where does my gift actually go?

Every dollar is directed to construction, programming, and long-term operating sustainability. Our capital campaign budget is published on the Donate page.

Do you accept recurring gifts?

Recurring monthly giving will be available when online donations launch. It's one of the most impactful ways to support the campaign.

Can I donate stock, crypto, or a DAF grant?

Yes — reach out directly and we'll walk you through it. These gifts can be especially tax-advantaged for larger donations.

Section 03

Legacy bricks & recognition

How does the legacy brick program work?

Choose a brick size, customize up to three lines of engraving, and reserve your placement. Bricks will be installed in the permanent entryway walkway before opening day.

Can I dedicate a brick to someone?

Absolutely. Memorial bricks and dedications are one of the most meaningful ways families participate. Your engraving can honor anyone you choose.

When will bricks be installed?

Bricks are installed during the final construction phase, before opening day. Reserved donors will be invited to a dedication ceremony.

Section 04

Programs & pre-registration

What programs will the arena offer?

Learn-to-skate, youth hockey, figure skating, adult hockey leagues, public skate, and private events like birthday parties.

Does pre-registration cost anything?

No. Pre-registration is free and simply reserves your spot in line when formal enrollment opens. Early registrants get first scheduling access.

Can businesses sponsor or partner?

Yes — see the Sponsorships page for current packages, or reach out for custom partnerships.
